[Following is a volunteer review of "How To Be Successful" by M. Curtis McCoy.]
Do you have an excellent business idea that could change your life, but your current job you hate is holding you back? Do you feel like crying while you travel to work? Do you often listen to motivational leaders and speakers to gain some courage? Those problems could all disappear by reading only one book.
How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader by M. Curtis McCoy is a self-help book that helps people with business and ideas. To be honest, I did not expect anything from this book because I have read numerous books like this one, and I didn't find the one that suits me the best. I am happy to admit this one is the best yet. It taught me many things, and I think I gained a bit more courage.
Many people around the world have magnificent ideas, but they are too scared to leave the security of their boring jobs and do something extraordinary that would change their lives. This book is a combination of true-life events, interviews, experiences, and frequently asked questions with accurate answers. The author managed to mix everything in this unusual book. How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader is quite a simple book spread across 185 pages. I have read this book in one day because the writing is easy, and the content is interesting. The most important thing about this book is that M. Curtis McCoy teaches us success takes time. He is an owner of several companies, and he went through many painful struggles to become what he is today. Among other things, the author mentions religion as a part of the growing process. People that respect different beliefs may find this either relatable or offensive. As a Christian, quotes from the Bible the author used in the book helped me a lot. I like McCoy as a human because he struggled a lot, but he didn't give up or even think about giving up. I admire that, and I think he should be an incentive to all of us.
The editing job on this book is impeccable as I didn't find a single error. There are no profane words nor graphic scenes in the text. I love everything about this book, from the cover to the writing style, and I cannot think about anything I dislike.
This masterpiece deserves more than just 4 out of 4 stars. There is no better motivational book than this one. I have learned a lot, but the most important thing I learned is how to trust myself and my decisions. I will recommend this book to my friends and hope they will find something useful in it. How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader is suitable for everyone, but I would recommend it to those who seek motivation and help when it comes to business. A younger audience may find this book boring because they have no experience in the business.
