The Elf Coup - Book Three of the Magi Charter is another masterpiece just like its predecessor. Packed with action and suspense, it takes the reader on yet another epic adventure, lead by Noel and his quest to save the North Pole from tyranny and oppression.

Santa and his bride have gone missing and a team is sent to rescue them. Mistletoe seizes this moment to stage a coup. He proclaims himself as Elf Czar and slyly forms a treaty with the polar bears to back him up. The situation seems dire indeed as the Krampus is also on the loose and chaos ensues. Polar bears are terrorizing the elves and production has come to a virtual halt. Will the elder Santas be able to save the day by training Noel or will Mistletoe rule supreme over the North Pole? Will the missing elves that have been snatched by the Krampus ever be found?

Jordan David once again succeeds in bringing his characters to life and one finds it almost impossible to put the book down until the very last page. I like the way in which the characters are portrayed in such a way that they become family and it feels as though you are there, experiencing the hardships and adventures too. Besides the book being a riveting read that captures the audience, there is also a life lesson or two incorporated. The story is fast paced and Noel must keep all his witts about him in order to survive. Through his training and the trials he has to face, he shows us that determination and perseverance are qualities that we should all cultivate in our lives.

I honestly cannot find much that warrents criticism in this book. It is well written and I absolutely adore the characters. Noel and company manage to sneak into your heart and even the evil Mistletoe becomes a character that one doesn't want to lose. Having said that, numerous errors in the book caught my attention. These can easily be fixed by an editor that pays attention to the finer details, but this in no way diminishes the enjoyment of the story.

I recommend this book to anyone that likes tales about Santa and all that envolves Christmas. Children of all ages will love this book and will be enthralled by its magic. Keep in mind that the book is part of a series and it is best to read the books in their proper order.

I give this book a 3 out of 4 stars rating. This can easily become a 4 if the errors are fixed. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
