"How to be successful" by M.Curtin McCoy is a book with an impressive title that hooked my attention because I need to learn some business tips. Lucky that I have picked the right one, this book is full of motivational and instructional words, real-life examples and flows logically and flawlessly.

What is your definition of success? What inspires you? How do you manage and prioritise opportunities? We can find all of the answers in this book through the perspectives of successful people. If you are a start-up entrepreneur and afraid of failure, this book may change your mind as those successful people gave up their short-term comfort to invest in their lifetime success.

This book was written when the author wanted to make a difference in many lives; he interviewed seven successful people he admired. That is how we can have a chance to acknowledge the experiences of those successful people. We can recognise the factors that influence those successful people's perspectives, resilience, and how they could overcome their hardships. Besides those interviews, M.Curtin McCoy also demonstrates some critical life lessons, such as Practice Delayed Gratification, Six Keys To Building Quality Friendships, Take Pride In Your Appearance and Reward Yourself.

Unfortunately, at 27 years old, he was diagnosed with brain cancer and only had 60-90 days to live. As human beings, we can be pessimistic and want to give up their life immediately. He lost absolutely everything at that time, unable to drive, live alone, etc. However, due to his resilience, M.Curtin McCoy won his disease after receiving treatments.

My favourite section is Six Keys to Building Quality Friendships, one of the secrets to success. A quality friend can be defined as a Win-win relationship when we both cheer for our success or share losses. Those six keys are fully described in detail if you read the book, located on page 100. Additionally, essential keys to me are trust and loyalty.

This book has been exceptionally well-edited. The story is keenly planned, researched, and has a flawless narration followed by great dialogue. I haven't found any dislike points in this book. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I will re-read this book over and over again in the future. Similar to the author, I hope you could receive more empowerment to pursue your passions.
