In the world of today, where there are so much noise and chaos going on, it is quite hard for lots of people to block out the noise and just focus on the still small voice within them. However, there is a small percentage of people who have grown their spirituality to the point of mastering the art of listening to that still small voice.

Jeremy Brown, the author of Last Words From Above, falls into this category and has birthed this book through the art of listening to that still small voice and putting everything he hears into writing. From an out-of-body experience to applying for a job he had no qualification or experience for, God was able to teach the author to trust him completely and do away with any doubt or fear he might have had.

Last Words From Above by Jeremy Brown is a book of inspirational quotes, which promises to speak to the reader in one way or another. While some of the quotes are similar to some of the words written in the Bible, this book reveals that God still speaks to people and is ready to direct us if only we would listen.

Although this book is meant to be a book of quotes, I liked the fact that the author started it with a bit of his background and how this book came about. This piqued my interest in this book and prepared me for what to expect from it. I also enjoyed how some of the quotes were explanations of some sort to what I have read in the Bible before. An example of this is the quote that talks about why the love of money is the root of all evil.

Not only did it feel like I was reading quotes from King Solomon in the Bible, but it also felt like I sat at his feet to hear him explain some of the quotes. For this reason, I agree that this book is a modern book of Proverbs. Another thing I enjoyed about this book is how it got me thinking and made me reflect a lot, I had so many wow moments.

When the author described how he got the words of this book in the introduction, I expected that the quotes would be written in a more personalised font, somewhat like handwritten words, maybe even broken into chapters designed like a scroll. But I was surprised that the quotes were numbered instead. Although I noticed a few errors, this did not stop me from enjoying this book in any way, and I do not doubt that it was professionally edited. Other than that, I cannot point out anything I dislike about this book because it is a book that served its purpose of impacting lives positively, which is why I am rating it four out of four stars.

I would recommend this book to anyone open to learning from words of wisdom. Even though this book may seem like it is meant for Christians because of some religious words used in it, I believe anyone can pick one quote or another that would speak to them if they are open-minded.
