Review of Demon Freaks

[Following is a volunteer review of "Demon Freaks" by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison.]
With Ron and Bing, the Slaughter twins, expecting their SAT the next day, they are faced with the pressure of studying. They decide to study with Meat, the drummer and Kaitlyn, at Meat's place. The twins are in fear of being expelled by their History teacher, Mr. Brom. Their relationship with Mr. Brom is not a good one. Bing wants to study for the SAT and go to a film school. That night turns out to be a night of adventure rather than studying. Spit-Flecked Brommy, as they named their teacher, was not the normal History teacher they knew. The twins end up on a chase to save their friends, Meat and Kaitlyn. This will not be the end of such a night, as a big surprise awaits them. Who will eventually save the Slaughters from the teethheads? Is it possible for anyone to survive the wrath of a demon, especially one summoned by blood?
Demon Freak is an engaging book from the beginning of the book. The author includes a sense of humour, even in the direst and gruesome scenes. When attacked by the teethheads for the second time, Bing and Ron can still tell jokes amidst their fear and terror. The events in the book are engaging and action-filled to the end of the novel. My favourite character in the book is Kaitlyn. Her personality and behaviour were so relatable. She filled the book with fun during her conversations with Meat, even when Meats and the dagger's conversation was seriously based on how to get them out of captivity. She also kept saying the same phrases over and over but they didn't get old but were funnier.
The character of Spit-Flecked Brommy came out very handy. I did not like his character from the beginning of the book, and it turns out he wasn't a likeable character. The author wrote the book including the theme of the Lord Of The Rings including names like Smeagol and Bilbo. The author also wrote his name as J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison, which offers an exciting insight into the book. Readers who have read the book and those who haven't read it, will both enjoy the book. There are a lot of positive aspects to the book, but I only found one aspect that I did not appreciate. The author provided a solid background to all the main characters, but other characters were left out. I suggest that the author could have included some information on Red, Blue, and Yellow.
I rate Demon Freak by J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison 4 out of 4 stars. I did not find any negative aspect that could warrant me to give a lower rating. I did not find any grammatical error in the book, and I, therefore, conclude that the book was exceptionally well-edited. I also enjoyed every scene and action in the book. This is one of the interesting books I've read in a while.
I recommend Demon Freak to teens and adults. Some of the scenes in this book are not appropriate for children but would be interesting to readers who love action-filled and war stories. Similarly, most of the characters, including Bing, Ron, Meat, and Kaitlyn are relatable to a very wide audience. This makes the book more interesting.
