People grief differently and without losing someone dear to you it’s very difficult to feel and understand what mourners are going through. You`re venerable depending on how the deceased person was close to you, most significantly it is important to remember that you only have one life as widows and widowers. In the text it said, freedom is there for us to choose whichever direction we feel is worth traveling, we aren’t customed to anything. One can overcome every emotion by looking deep inside themselves, fear, sadness, or anxiety is part of our daily living. According to the text, we can make a big difference in other people’s lives as far as we are alive. If we don`t concentrate on our problem, being grateful and healthy can be very easy. It is evident that however devastating and painful, there is always tomorrow. The journey can be challenging at times and the resources we need to make the right decision might as well be taken away when our emotions overwhelm our rationality. Life is short but very precious to be miserable. Kathleen Ho assures that in life, the only thing that matters is how we respond to and react to different things around us. And with so many things that we can be thankful for, if we dare to face our pain, we will realize how beautiful life is. Love and death go hand in hand, if we have deep faith, love will smile on us but taking the very first step is important however the entire staircase.

Due to the summaries and questions Kathleen placed, I found the book to be very interesting. At the end of each chapter at least there was a summary, to sum up, the chapter. I found the idea of having questions to be very helpful. Through such, it was evident that drug abuse due to grief might have our dreams stolen and only be left with a damaged life. Dopamine regulates feeling, motivation, and emotions as a natural neurotransmitter. However, if it becomes excessive in one body communication channels of the brain might be disrupted.

There is nothing I found not interesting in this book. Living Forward After Loss by Kathleen Ho used tons of examples which were very helpful. For instance, in Twilight Zone season 1, Henry “Rocky” Valentine now wealthy wanted to go back to his low lessness life, Rocky felt like having everything any time and where was not a good idea. Again, when Adam Walsh was kidnapped and murdered his father the most wanted, became influential after experiencing a sad tragedy. From there on he advocated his life to capture fugitives, giving justice to many innocent victims and their families.

This book shows how learning can result in positive outcomes that may change your life as well as the lives of many people. I only found one minor error throughout the book, in the chapter summary under chapter four, Kathleen wrote chapter five while it was under chapter four. Chapter five had its own summary. Regardless of the trivial issue, I'd rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

Living Forward After Loss would be suitable for someone who wishes to overcome grief. Like endorphins interact with the opiate receptors in our brain to reduce our perception of pain. People need to overcome grief but the step taken differs per individual. Your pain and sadness completely dominate your mind.
