The Flower Girl Murder by Keith Hirshland is a very interesting book. Have you ever wondered how it would feel if you were adopted? How you would feel if your biological mother abandoned you? Have you thought about what you would do if you ever came face to face with the woman that didn't want you as her child? Teri Hickox knows all to well how it feels, she didn't feel anything but anger towards her birth mother. She also resented her adopted mother's family for what they did to her mother. Will Teri Hickox deal with the anger in a healthy way or will she do something irresponsible? Will Teri's father forgive her for the actions she took? Will the team of cops and news reporters of Raleigh be able to solve the strange murders?

This book has many positive aspects. I appreciate the fact that I can read the book and create an image in my head of what is happening while reading, the author use a lot of imagery in the book that contributes to the fact that I can create an image of what is happening in the book. This book had my attention throughout the whole book, not once did I have the thought to stop reading and just leave the book. This book is exceptionally well written and edited.

In the beginning of the book it confused me a bit, because the book has a lot of different characters, but as you read you understand the role of each character and how they fit into each others life. It also bothered me that they keep jumping from one scene to another many times. Other than this I do not feel that the book has any other negative aspects.

I rate The Flower Girl Murder 4 out of 4 stars. The book is exceptionally well written, it has no language or editing errors. The author does make use of profane words and minor sex scenes, but that is not a reason to give the book a rating. This book truly deserves it's 4 stars.

I would recommend The Flower Girl Murder to a more mature audience, because of the use of profane words and sex scenes, also because the book is about murders. This book is not recommended to young or sensitive readers.
