Love, Grandma by Ann Morris is a children's book, the first that the author has written in rhyme and dedicated to her granddaughters. This charming story, complemented with images, describes Morris' story with her granddaughters, from the emotions and feelings she experiences towards them for the absolute fact of enjoying them in her life, and to the adventures they had every time they were together. Each verse that makes up this short book explores great family love; and the tastes and interests of the girls in childhood with a grandmother complicit in their games and loving with them.

I must say that I enormously enjoyed this book. The illustrations that accompanied each page were in effect representative, colorful, and in line with the narrative, the rhymes produce the text fluid and with a pleasant rhythm to read; this is something that, added to the amount of text per page, head me to think they definitely did the necessary work and care that a children's book deserves. What I absolutely loved about this book is the way it celebrates family; I felt doubtless identified with the story, and particularly with the girls, as it made me recall my childhood and what my relationship with my grandmother was like; I could indeed experience and appreciate the author's love for her granddaughters, which is something I believe is incredible and worth treasuring and sharing.

I can say that despite being a story based on personal experiences, It's hard for me to think about something that I didn't like in this book. Because I consider the story is an example of how the ideal relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is, highlighting the love that should exist among them. The author positively presents grandparents as people who are there to provide affection and understanding; and shows that they and their grandchildren can participate, at the same time, in pleasant activities that serve to develop good memories. In conclusion, it teaches children a clear message of respect, consideration for their elders, and the value of family. That is extremely important at these times in the world.

For that reason, I must give this book a rating of four out of four stars. In my opinion, the author kept her content focused on what she promised. In addition to this, the book was exceptionally well-edited and is impeccably written, with no grammatical errors that I could find. There is no profanity present in this book. Once I started reading, I was delighted with the story, so I loved it from beginning to end.

Consequently, I would enthusiastically recommend this book for children just starting to read (5 - 7 years old) because of its length of 20 pages and for those who enjoy this genre. But it's a book that offers you an enjoyable reading, and I am sure it can be enjoyed by kids of older ages, and even read as a family. If you are looking for a storybook that will inspire you or your children, this may be the story for you. I find the genre of children's books truly interesting, and this choice touched my heart.
