Sandra Eden’s War is a fiction book written by Michael Low. The book is based on historical events captured from situations that female SOE agents have faced before, as well as talking about the female involvement in enduring the oppression that was done by the Nazis. Sandra Eden is a British agent who was parachuted into France to participate in certain operations, she was going to help in resisting the German forces in France. When her parachute fails to work; Sandra is faced with an inevitable death situation. Throughout the story, Sandra faces more and more hard situations that she professionally deals with, in addition to proving people wrong on the idea that women can’t lead.

I enjoyed everything about this novel. The book was really engaging and kept me hooked on every minor detail. The pages went by fast, and the story was so exciting. The main thing that astonished me is Sandra’s unbelievable strength. She was an extremely strong and courageous character. Furthermore, I appreciate how the book shows how strong women can be. Sandra’s character was a great leader who was smart and proved how women could achieve remarkable things, and the fact that the book is based on real events makes the story way better.

There isn’t a single thing I didn’t like about the book. The author’s way of writing was excellent and delivered all the characters’ emotions. As well as his way of describing the scenes which caused me to feel like I was there. The book was well structured and had a nice flow. There were some hard scenes that the author wrote that left me amazed with Sandra. Moreover, the historical parts of the story added a nice spice to it. I gained knowledge about some parts of history in such a fun way without even noticing, so that was definitely a significant gain.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book was well structured and so captivating. It is also worth mentioning that the book was professionally edited, it was rare when I found editing errors. All things considered, I appreciate the effort done on writing this book.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes historical fiction. I’d also recommend this to people who love reading about great achievements done by women. People who want to know more about World War Two or the oppression that was present in Europe would also highly benefit from this book.
