Review of Happiness is All We Want!
I always want to read a book called The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Why? Because Happiness is All We Want. What makes life meaningful? I think that's because of happiness. What makes us happy? Family, loyal friends, money, good education, and so on. Therefore, having a chance to read this book is a blessing. The title is so straightforward that I don’t need to think twice to read this book. This book is written by Ashutosh Mishra, a mentor and motivational speaker who has helped transform many lives. I hope I am one of the lucky ones whose life changed to be better.
In general, this book is a step by step to reach true happiness in life. You will come across many tools, techniques, and ideas to help you attain that state of being you have been chasing for your happiness. You will need to take time to learn, understand, absorb, and practice all of those. It is better to use them as cues for further study and learning. Besides, this book is packed with many useful tips on every point, making me reflect on the advice better. In addition, every material is explained comprehensively from a to z, so you don't have to worry if you are new to self-care or self-development books.
It is hard to find what I do not like from this book because I love everything. It seems like a self-reminder for me to love and be grateful for everything I have now. I want to read this book repeatedly, especially around this materialist society, where everyone seems never to get enough of something. They always want to have more and more because they see someone higher and dream of being that person. Desperately working to achieve a wealthy lifestyle and forget about being happy with enough. I don't want to say that working for a better future is wrong, but the way most people strive for that life is saddening and often leads to depression and dissatisfaction.
Therefore, I have to give this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book teaches me about being grateful, an essential attitude that we should practice every day but becomes the most forgotten attitude in this materialistic society. Everyone wants to be rich to be happy. Accepting who you are and being grateful for what you have is more important to be satisfied than competing with a materialist society.
This book is absolutely for everyone. Everyone wants to be happy, and this book will make your wish come true. Read, think, and absorb everything that is written in this book. You'll see the difference!
