It's taking me a while to gather my bearings after reading this book, but it was absolutely worth it. Daniel McGhee honestly shook me to the core with this book and you really do see the reason he rightly coined it Chasing A Flawed Sun . Due to the nature of the book I would have to explicitly mention that it this book is only for the mature of mind. I do recommend it though for people looking for something along the lines of spirituality.

The author; Daniel McGhee takes us on a journey through his life and struggle with addictions and substance abuse starting at his childhood and taking us on the entire trip from that point until his current state. From his early childhood, Danny has always been in love with pop culture and the gangster life and seeking to emulate it - to disastrous effects. Join in and explore this inspirational tale as we see him attempt to change his life from being a teenage addict to at the very least alcohol free.

The authenticity of the book is mind boggling considering the revelations. Have you ever thought; what exactly goes through their mind, whilst you look at an addict? Perhaps even more alluring is the literary construction of the book. The author, no matter his past or future is a literary genius with amazing talent. After reading his story you will be puzzled as to just how it is such a person could so flawlessly compose a work as this.

What I don't like about the book though is his closing advice to the family of these addicts, but then again he has a different view than I do having lived as the actual addict whereas I am but a fickle reader. A difference in opinion is all it is but who knows, I am but one soul. Who is to say you won't agree.

At the end of it all I fully rate this book 4 out of 4 . Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart, the judgmental or immature persons. There are vivid descriptions of violence and there is quite an amount of swearing so please read at your own discretion.

As previously stated, I highly recommend this book for those looking for either spiritual or inspirational books as this will really connect with you on a deeper level beyond the normal; "it's just a book" feeling we normally experience.
