Review of Bedu Bedouin Boy, Poet King. A Profoundly Simple Journey.
[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of Bedu Bedouin Boy, Poet King. A Profoundly Simple Journey by Colonel David, W. Sutherland, and Paul McKellips.]

Bedu Bedouin Boy, Poet King by David, W. Sutherland, and Paul McKellips is an excellent read detailing the harrowing and heart wrenching journey of the main character, Bedu. The story begins with the simple surroundings and humble home of a shepherd boy by the name of Bedu. The story unfolds as events outside of Bedu’s control lead him on a journey walked years before by his father. Along this journey, Bedu finds himself faced with challenges and experiences previously unfamiliar to him.

The positive aspects of this book were the flow of the story and the way in which it was structured that a son followed in his fathers footsteps, leaving the reader to expect a similar life for Bedu as the one lived by his father. One thing I particularly enjoyed whilst reading this book was that each chapter began with a specific heading, that was more of a life lesson that connected to the chapter prior in such a way that I viewed the previous chapter in an entirely new light, as it dawned on me that the entire chapter was structured to build up to the life lesson that was the title for the next chapter. I found this to be both clever and a brilliant way to teach people simple life lessons without appearing overbearing, due to the narrative nature of the book.

I honestly do not have many negative aspects regarding this book, as it was one, I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The book perhaps became rather repetitive when it came to the telling of Bedu’s adventures along his journey, as they were explained to each new character who had not yet heard them, but honestly this would really be my only critique of what I thought to be an excellent book.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars due to the fact that it was well structured, captivating, and engaged the readers emotions by them investing more and more into the humble character, Bedu. I have given this book this rating due to the fact that there were minimal errors with regards to grammatical and spelling mishaps, so minor that they really did not really register as errors worth noting in the grand scheme of the book.

I would recommend this book to a rather wide audience, as I believe the lessons taught in the book are beneficial to both the young and the old. I would also recommend this book to anyone who is perhaps, at a point in their lives where they feel lost and without direction as the book is a journey for both the reader and the characters.
