The book "No dark clouds" written by R. W. Nelson is of the Christian fiction genre.
The story mainly, revolves around the character of "Beggar boy" and his friends and their encounters with Jesus Christ.
The story is set in Jerusalem of circa 30 AD, and follows the story of different characters and the personal encounters they have with Jesus of Nazareth, and how it changes their life forever.

The central theme which is that of salvation and how a humble carpenter not only stirred up Roman empires and Religious fundamentalists but also touched common and vulnerable people in a personal yet divine manner is frankly heartwarming.

On the other hand there are a few points that do detract from the story which is that, the author's storytelling is mostly done in the present tense which is somewhat off putting in the narrative.
Another point is that some parts of the story lack unity in the flow of ideas which can be confusing, especially for those who find it difficult to read.

Apart from these points of critique, the book is worth a read. The highlight of the book is that it snowballs into something really deep and takes the reader to another level when it comes to the scene of the crucifixion. Also the author's notes at the end of the book are really helpful.

All in all I do believe that this book is worth a read.

I believe a 3 out of 4 rating is an adequate rating for "No dark clouds"
