Something About Ann, this is a profound book written in such an artistic style. It's a book that the author J. Everett Prewitt presents the aftermath life of War veterans at different periods under different circumstances.
The retired soldiers try to stay close to one another so as to help each other integrate back to the society. Over the years, their relationship deepen and darken, it's characterized by addiction, worry, struggle and to some, some sort of success.

The Vietnam War veterans seem to be recuperating from their past tragic experiences of war only to find themselves in deep mess, while living a normal life with civilians. Although the book is comprised of various short stories majoring on different individuals under different situations, the book tittle is borne from a story by the same tittle "Something About Ann.
Bankston the main character in this story is trying to get his life in order after securing a promising job with a proposal writing company. Will he be able to do so?
He later on falls in love with a Vietnamese lady, but ooh no little did he know what awaited him.

One thing that makes me like the book is that, J. Everett Prewitt a retired soldier clearly points to everyone the facts that retired soldiers face in reality.
Readers are able to learn the problems that face such men and women who with much dignity serve their nations loyaly. Readers are able to realize the difficulties that such people face in normal life after going through such traumatizing experiences.

Even though I have much enjoyed the
book, it would be hypocritical to rate the same a four star. The author was quite conscious of his language though their was use of vulgar language.

However, even with such flaws, I greatly enjoyed the book and so will be awarding a three out of four stars.
There is also instances of profanity in the book. Truly, I abhor books with such intense content as the author puts on page 11 of 42.

Due to such content and some violent scenes, the book is not suitable for children. But I would highly recommend this book to the young adults and also the adults since it's much informative and educative of the realities of life.
