This book examines how to lead a happy life through the acknowledgement and acceptance of God. The book is unique in that it encourages you to jump to the part that speaks to you the most. The author urges the reader to take action and try some activities out for themselves. It uses examples that are easy to understand and draws from research papers to formulate articles. Some of the tools and tips are things that many who have gone on a spiritual journey can relate to or have practiced. Recommendations like prayer, journaling, and meditating are included.

The book outlines very concrete examples of how to structure your thoughts and activities to achieve. It dispels the notion that big dreams are unattainable and recommends breaking things down into manageable parts. The author suggests a different way of thinking and positive framing. It does a fine job of making action steps that anyone can follow.

It is important to note that the book is largely centered on a belief of God and knowledge of the Bible. As someone who is grappling with their faith, this was encouraging to read. As a nonbeliever in Jesus this would be a difficult read. Other negatives are that it reflects similar ideas to a lot of self help books. It is not new information, rather it is being told through the lens of religion.

I would give this book a 3 out of 4, because it does not apply to a large audience. Without it being centered around God, it could have reached a larger audience but faith was very important to the reader. It is well written and properly edited. It is an easy read and provides some activities that are not too intrusive on everyday life. The mindset of the reader should be very open and ready to take action in their lives.

This is a good read for anyone who already has knowledge of God and their faith. It could also be helpful for those who are doubting their faith or are interested in seeing how the presence of God in their life could benefit them. I would not recommend this book to those who are not willing to open their minds to new or different thoughts. It can be an instruction manual for those who are open to it, but easily ridiculed by those who are not. It is a hit or miss depending on the reader, but worth a chance if you are looking to make changes in your life.
