Review of Fulfillment
Fulfillment, ‘A journey through a spiritual life, written by Ica is a non- fiction book. The author shares his personal experience through spirituality and self- realization. This is a 301 page book, written in eleven parts towards the path of religion and spirituality. Ica’s real name is Mihail, he shares his personal conversation between his spirit guide and his soul. The book is based mainly on how religion guides us towards spirituality and how he has used it as a guiding tool on his own spiritual journey. Ica then compares the religious leaders/Gods like Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Laozi and many others to be teachers who were on earth to guide us towards the light, however, somewhere along the line, religion has converted these spiritual teachers into God. He refers to God as he and she in the book and states that God is in us and we are God.
He expresses how sharing love and care towards helping humanity is what Jesus has taught us and makes references in the bible to that effect. He also states how atheists indirectly receive enlightenment without being religious, they care for humanity and spread love and light and that is how he explains the difference that religion and spirituality are different and no matter how many religious prescripts an individual can read, spirituality begins within you, and finding the answers within yourself to reach such enlightenment. People can become righteous without necessarily following a religion. Ica also describes the journey of when the soul enters earth as an infant and touches gently on the meaning and training of the soul’s journey and purpose.
The positive aspects of this book in my opinion would be that this book offers some guidance to people who seek answers on the difference of religion and spirituality and their purpose of life on earth. ‘Fulfillment’ also guides people in a small way on how they may attain their higher self should they wish too. This book also advises us that we should not discriminate against any religion as it is just a path to the same destination according to the author’s personal experience after discussion with his spiritual guide.
The only negative aspect of this book is that is does not elaborate on how the author actually manages to achieve his own higher self in order for his soul to communicate with his spirit guide. He does mention meditation, but not the exact steps in order for one to be able to learn and experience such. As a reader, I would not really understand the main purpose of such book, would it be for information of the authors personal experience or also steps someone can use to experience such enlightenment that the author refers to?
I would rate this book 2 out of 4 because it could of delved in a little more on the source and purpose of life, and also become a guide for individuals seeking to reach self-attainment. I would recommend the book for adults or anyone who has an interest in spirituality, faith and religion. There a few grammar errors in this book.
