What happens when an accident changes one's life forever? What happens when an unforeseen happenstance awakens an inner strength or power we do not imagine could have existed? What do we do with this inner power? Do you accept to live with it? Or do you run from it forever?

Rise of The Savior tells the story of a teenage girl, Amanda. It highlights her peculiar rise to becoming the savior of the world. This book is a fantasy book. The story begins with an accident in which Amanda is involved. This accident awakens some powers in her. The sudden realization that the burden to save the world was on her shoulders seemed too huge for her to carry; she has no desire to play hero for anyone.

The story progresses and we find out that she is "The Acolyte of Truth." Amanda persisted in her firm resolve not to take up her new role. This was until an incident that threatens the life of her sister happens. Would she accept the new role? Would she save the world? Or would her refusal lead her loved ones to harm's way? Antoine Bonner tells the story of Amanda's rise to becoming the Acolyte of Truth in such a beautiful manner.

I found a lot of good things about this book. The author was detailed with the character development. He introduced different characters at different points in time. These characters had distinct roles and it was easy connecting with them as I read the book. I enjoyed the suspense and thrill that came with this book even when it seemed the events were happening all at once.

Also, Antoine employed the use of simple language. This book was easy to understand and I did not find it difficult to connect with the characters. It was an enjoyable read and I kept seeking to know what happened next.

However, I found some negative aspects as well. The author seemed to have been in a hurry to finish this book. At a point, it seemed everything was happening way too fast. This would make it difficult for some readers to keep up. I found some errors in this book, which is a problem.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I did not rate it lower because the negative aspects I highlighted did not affect my overall satisfaction with the book. I gave it a perfect rating because Antoine was able to keep me reading page after page, chapter after chapter. I recommend this book to young adults. Anyone who enjoys fantasy books will have an amazing time reading this as well.

Amanda's character is very likeable, but her sister is just the opposite. I am blaming Saira or anything, it's just that the robotic voice and the live deity thing got me all spooked up. I think I will pass this one. Thanks for the great review!

The rise of Amanda seems very interesting. Her moral dilemmas make for an interesting plot
