Review of A Bloody Book
A bloody book. is a book written by Chris Bowen. It is a book about Maxx the protagonist who is at school having a hard time as he is a below average student and him being complacent with his current state. He explains how the school and the teachers try to use methods that do not work on dire performing students in making them understand and excel in their studies then he tells us how his life unravels.
I really like how the author is vulnerable with his feelings through Maxx understanding well why Maxx does certain things and one is not left out wondering why he did certain things and you understand how Maxx genuinely feels. The book is really interesting how the character describes how events took place by explaining in details and also giving metaphors .Despite the character giving a pensive mood through his actions he also does good things that brings a good mood. The book is hard to predict on how events would turn out as the author brings out different scene over and over making the book enjoyable to read. The book gives you an idea of what goes through another child's mind in a given state of circumstance life has offered. The book gives real information on how life goes.
The story was long before the major events happen. In the story there were many characters making it hard to master all of them. The author brings a negative mood on how he describe adults in a negative way bringing a hostile attitude. The author does not specify what was his exact age bringing confusion. The book might influence children to be comfortable in their education performance and life in general. It may also cause them to despise teachers and adults and their ways of doing things.
I would rate the book 3 out of 4. as it was good on how the twist happens at the end despite the story being long just as the author had said at the start. I did not give 4 stars as the story was long and the story line was not adding up so well and also there were grammar errors. I did not give a 2 stars as it was great on how the major events happened. I did not give a 1 star as the book was not bad and I would recommend it to another person who might be interested in the genre.
I would recommend the book to people who love thriller and horror genres as the book would give you a thrill and also give you shock on how certain events happened. I would not recommend the book to people who do not like shocking and scary events as the book is about that and I will not recommend the book to young children from ages 10 and below as it might influence them badly and certain events in the book might affect them mostly negatively.
