Sandra Eden's War , written by Michael Low is an intriguing story of Sandra Eden, a brave SOE (Special Operations Executive) agent, who is thought to be dead after trying to land in France with a faulty parachute. After several "acts of sabotage" against the German Nazis in France, she is captured and tortured by the Gestapo. She manages to escape and travels back to London where she is commended for her hard work and bravery and is given a new assignment.
I loved the chapter where Sandra, leading three men, rescues Bobby Coles, a male SOE agent who is captured by the Gestapo. Later, she wittingly discovers a traitor among them and kills him. Admirable was the fact that Sandra was not intimidated even through she was the only woman among her team of men.
The story had no negative aspects. I also did not notice any errors since the story was well edited. However, there were few vulgar words (debatable and very minor) which appeared at about 2-3 instances.
Sandra Eden's War is a really exciting story which depicts bravery and selflessness. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars since there were no errors.
I recommend that students and anyone who is curious about how brave citizens helped the Allies during the 2nd World War to gain victory should definitely read this amazing book by Michael Low.
