[Following is a volunteer review of "Private Eye, Secret Spy" by Ian D. Withers.]
This book Private Eye, Secret Spy which was written by Ian D Withers is an auto biography of the writer. He will be explaining his life history from when he was about 15 years up to his current age Which is 77 years of age. The story starts at his current age from chapter 1. Then he goes back to when he was young trying to explain how he started his career of being a private investigator.. His First job was in the army as a Territorial Army. He also worked as a police officer. He is from England that's where he was doing his Private investigating. He has travelled to so many countries with for his job. He also mentions that they are three in his family but he used to work with his younger middle brother namely Stuart and he is the first born in that family. He married his First wife when he was still young and later divorced her and married a second wife, same applies to the brother but did not remarry. He worked for individuals, companies and countries too. He has been in and out of jail for various crimes concerning his job. He was involved in dangerous deals in order to do his investigations.
He was a good private investigator. He always wins his cases. He would use any means possible to achieve results. He would used sophisticated equipment to properly and efficiently produce good results in his professional Private Investigating job.
The downside of his book is that he was always in trouble portraying that his chosen profession career was a dangerous one. Other people who would want to follow his career would think twice before doing so.
I would rate this book two out of four because I do not like these types of books..I do not enjoy reading about people's life history especially if I do not know them. The way he wrote this book is not appealing to me going backwards and forwards especially the first chapter should be the last chapter because it is the present it was a bit confusing to me.
I would not recommend this book to children because some of the things the writer was doing or encountering in his investigations is not for younger generation reading. Things like going to casinos or seeing someone shagging a sheep etc is not appropriate to children . This book is for adults.
