This book is about mistakes, regret, forgiveness, and loving yourself. This book is about letting go of other's expectations and learning to love yourself. This book is about love. This book is about change, the only constant thing in everyone's life.

Towards Happier Choices by Michael Oborn is a 190 pages book that consists of stories, his thoughts on different topics, and story about exceptional people that have influenced him greatly. The book shows the true incidents that took place in the author's life and how they impacted him.

The protagonist belongs to a Mormon family. The book shows how his ideas, views, and thoughts evolve after going through several incidents, gaining experience, and getting to know the harsh realities of this world. Since all the stories are true, the author manages to capture the transition of thoughts, from being ignorant to becoming knowledgeable enough to form his thoughts and taking charge of himself.

The book helped me in knowing more about Mormons, their faith, and belief, which I was ignorant about. And it served as a great reminder of how sometimes little incidents help us learning life lessons. Though the book is full of positive aspects that doesn't mean it is without any negative aspects. The book was full of grammatical errors, while the quality improved as I progressed further and found fewer and fewer errors, but it still managed to disrupt my pace. The lack of proper editing turned this book into rambling rather than a proper, well-organized story.

I am awarding Towards Happier Choices three out of four stars while deducting one star for its grammatical errors and formatting issues which is also the thing I liked least about this book. The book doesn't have any sexual content but the author does express his view on sex. And I didn't find vulgar language or profanity anywhere in the book.

I would personally recommend this book to people who like biographies and autobiographies.
