To Chammas, the 2008 Global Financial Crisis was a wakeup call to stop living paycheck to paycheck and seek financial freedom and success. After witnessing and hearing of many people that lost their jobs as a result of this financial crisis, Chammas embarked on a journey of self-education. He studied books, attended seminars, and used the help of coaches and mentors to achieve financial success. With now over 10 years of industry and investing experience, H.J. Chammas brings forward a blueprint for investing in rental properties.

The Employee Millionaire-Personal Workbook by H. J. Chammas is loaded with strategies and ideas on how anyone interested to invest in rental properties can achieve financial success and become wealthy. The author breaks down this Rental Properties Investment Blueprint into 10 steps to make it easier for readers to understand. The blueprint is a combination of the author’s corporate experience in planning and Papa Joe’s coaching style. Papa Joe was a Lebanese-American self-made millionaire and Chammas’ mentor who taught him many lessons about the importance of accumulating income-producing assets with use of leverage.

The Employee Millionaire is a tool that can save time, energy, and resources for any investor. It is something that prevents someone from losing money and time spent in trying to reinvent the wheel. While it is often assumed that you need a lot of money to start investing, the author shares many lessons throughout the book on how the use of mortgage and other strategies can give you an opportunity to start with less.

As an employee, this book will help you utilize your position to achieve financial freedom and financial success. The most interesting part for me was to learn how I can prepare my personal financial statements. I felt as if I was taking a financial mathematics course. There are a lot formulas and financial terms within this book that cements the ideas presented.

Chammas was so creative in the way he brought out the ideas, and how he linked financial knowledge to rental property investment. I noticed a few errors and missing words within the context of the book, but that wasn’t a challenge for me to get the message being put across. Therefore, I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. The flows of ideas were perfect but the grammar and a few errors reduced my rating.

Apart from anyone wanting to venture into real estate investment, I recommend this book to people who are in formal employment and yet one day dream of achieving financial freedom to live their desired lives. It is also a good recommendation to anyone who wants to realize their full potential. But remember that no results can be realized when you don’t take action on the ideas presented in The Employee Millionaire. Like Chammas wrote, “Without having a clearly defined process, your investment journey can’t grow to its full potential”.
