Self-doubt is something most people have struggled with at one time or another. According to a medical study carried out in 2020, about 82% of people will experience imposter syndrome at some point in their lives. Even some of the most acclaimed people in various fields have struggled with it.

In Stop Doubting Yourself. Stop Overthinking and Start Living, GJ Malone shows that we don't have to sacrifice all our dreams due to feelings of inadequacy. He explains in detail how the mind works and how we develop habits. Some of these habits can be self- destructive, and so he takes a deeper look at self- defeating habits, their types and examples, and then how we can overcome such negative patterns and move on to loving happier, more satisfying lives.

I love the way the book progressed. The author covered almost every aspect of the subject posed in the title of the book. He discussed why and how these issues come about, described them in detail and then proffered practical and viable solutions.

I found the book very relatable. Nearly anybody who picks this book up will learn something valuable from it. I feel that the author did exactly what he said he would; He provided a manual for anybody experiencing feelings of inadequacy or self- doubt to enable them understand their feelings and make sense of them. It's also a guide for them to unlearn those behaviors and thought patterns and make the best of their time.

The book seemed very well thought out. The author also left links to some of the things that he quoted in the text, making it easier for further research and verification of information. He was also very detailed in his explanation, and the text was very easy to understand and follow. I was not lost at any point, and he was also very straightforward in his treatment of the topic of overcoming self doubt. The steps were practical and easy to follow. The book was also very concise, with the relevant information presented properly and no extraneous or unnecessary details.

I found very few errors, and overall the book appeared to be very well edited. I had no other issues with the book. Despite the prevalence of motivational books of this nature, I loved the author's treatment of the topic of self- doubt and I found the book very educational and helpful. I'll give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I'd recommend it for anybody experiencing feelings of self- doubt, inadequacy or poor self- respect.
