Has something like this ever happened to you? You feel like something is quite easy to do, but when you try to do it, you find out that it isn't as easy as you think. A lot of people think that writing a will is easy. I thought so too. But when I read this book Do I Need a Will or a Trust written by Taylor Phillip Willingham. I found out that to write an irrefutable will isn't that easy. This book is like a guide on how to write a will or a trust.

The book started with an introduction. It told the story of a Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antonius. During his 19-year reign, the book described him as a great man of unwavering character and determination. But, he chose the wrong successor and his legacy was lost. Commodius was not as successful as his father. His reign was a disaster that the Roman Empire never recovered from. The lesson of this story, as written by the author, was that it's not good to die or even live without planning. It's not advisable to have assets without a will. He also mentioned that one can also leave his property as a trust. What is the difference between a will and a trust? How would one know which is best for his property? These and more are the questions answered in this book.

The book was well detailed on the legalities of a will and a trust. The author sometimes wrote the meaning of some big words used by Lawyers. I liked that. I also liked that the author used illustrations to explain the points he made in the book. This helped me to understand better what he was explaining. One of the illustrations caught my interest. It was about a man named Ishmael. He was supposed to be a wealthy client. Instead, he had spent his wealth on his children and grandchildren. He bought some a house and paid for their education. I felt that was wise. He would die knowing that his resources were used wisely.

There was only one thing I disliked in this book. The author used words that would not be understood by a layman to explain some of his points. The book was well organized. It was divided into chapters and each chapter had a subheading to be discussed.

I found no error in the book. The book was exceptionally edited. I thereby rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it for those that need guidance on writing a will or a trust. I also recommend it for legal practitioners in that field. They would learn a lot from the book.
