This book The Price of Dreams is an interesting story about John Dolan. John is a man who has had an undying love for art since childhood. He is so obsessed with art to the extent that he could not socialize well enough with people. After John was done with college, he got married to a woman that he did not really fall in love with because he felt like he needed her to overcome the antisocial person that he is. During the early stage of their marriage John was not so invested in his family, he neither had time for his wife nor kids because of his obsession for art. He later met an old girlfriend he dated back in college, she told him that it was because of the same love he has for art that made their relationship to fail. John is left having deep thoughts about his life. Will he allow his obsession for art consume him?

One of the reasons I find this book captivating is the grammar used in this book. When I was reading this book I came across a lot of new words that I find interesting and which can help me in my language communication skill. Another reason is that the characters are not so difficult to understand, I got to connect with the characters and put myself in their situation. Also, the dialogue in this book was really interesting to read, through them I got to understand even better more about the story. And I also love how the writer included some comedy in some of the dialogues.

I love the way the author wrote this book in detail, in the sense that he got me to feel the environment around the characters, to visualize in detail the physical environment, the weather conditions and other aspect surrounding the characters.

Overall, this book is good and I can say that it was professionally edited by an awesome editor even though I found some very minor errors in this book.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. My motive for this is because I felt that a particular part of the story was not realistic enough to take a different turn, aside this, the book’s author Jerry A. Greenberg did a splendid job writing this book.

Although, I found some borderline profanity while I was reading this book, I recommend this book for younger and older teenagers and highly recommend it for adults both married and single.
