The Raven's Trail book 1 by Liz D. Marx is truly amazing. The story is written in two timelines, historical and present era, making the concept all the more interesting. The main characters, Mason and Chloe, deal with historical artifacts as Mason owns his gallery and Chloe works at a famous museum. The narrative revolves around a journey they both take for an antique and how they face many natural and supernatural challenges while falling in love with each other despite all the life-threatening and dangerous situations they tackle with. While trying to solve the puzzles, they both learn and unfold many aspects about each other which lead them to face several understandings and misunderstandings simultaneously. The novel also shows a unique perspective about the Native American people as well as the period by representing various old American tribes and their customs in the book.

The best part of the story is the touch of paranormal yet religious viewpoints that the writer portrayed. The mention of various gods and deities gave an enjoyable turn to the storyline. The part of the Rainbow Goddess or The Lady is specifically the highlight of the story as she helps Chloe to a great extent not only in solving her obstacles but also in reuniting her with her long-lost love from her previous life. She also helps her to remember her true identity as Adsila. Apart from this, the author did justice to both the characters of Chloe and Adsila and she did an excellent job in putting equal limelight and importance to both of them throughout the book.

The storybook is professionally edited making it easier to bind with the storyline. A well-written story becomes quite lenient to the reader's mind and helps in submerging into the story deeply which it perfectly did. I found only a single mistake and hence I loved every single part of the story and the writer's effort into putting so much perfection. The vocabulary that the author used is also easily understandable which does not interrupt the binge reading of the book.

I will gladly give a perfect 4 out of 4 stars to book 1 of The Raven's Trail. This rating is justified because of the excellent work done in the whole published piece of writing in case of its editing, story, development of characters, development of certain incidents, and finally for the romance among the protagonists.

I believe the book is suitable for the history and paranormal genre lovers. However, every kind of audience would be able to bind with this amazing work because it also fits in the category of historical romance and reincarnation. Book 2 by the author would be much awaited by all readers no matter who will be reading this novel, all thanks to the mind-luring story.
