THE FBI INSPECTOR by Jay Dubya
The FBI inspector by Jay Dubya is a series of exciting crime cases, that inspector Joe Giralo and G-men Arthur Orsi, Dan Blachford and Salvatore Valardi were asked to solve by their superior, Matt Riley from the DC headquarters. Every short story contained in this book, was accompanied by its own intriguing features and intensity.
The combination, Joe Giralo, Sal, Dan and Arty makes the book more interesting to read. I'm all, I prefer Salvatore Valardi the most, as the writer portrays him as a brain and intellect of the team, he has the ability to ease the tension from the harsh cases they were sometimes presented with, with a little of comic relief. I also liked how knowledgeable inspector Giralo was. He used past events, situations around them at a particular point in time, names, biblical history, to break down issues and made investigation and crime solving much more easy for his men and interesting to the readers. I enjoyed how the trio including Joe Giralo decipher cases and get to the very bottom of all the cases brought to them from the DC headquarters.
Although, I did not like the part where inspector Giralo and Matt Riley, their superior, ended cases in more like a behind the scene fashion apart from Sal, Dan and Arty which one made mention of. It killed the suspense as well as the intriguing nature of the storyline. I also didn't like the way inspector Joe Giralo almost had the answer to each and every cases presented to them, almost made the effort of others useless.
The writer Jay Dubya did a good job in bringing out all of the hard work and brainstorming that goes into investigation and pining down criminals as well as curbing crimes in our society but at the same time I feel the writer Jay Dubya failed to add action to the storyline. We were not told of the end product of all the investigations and brainstorming that inspector Giralo and the G-men did on each of the 25 cases brought to them.
There were some errors, a lot of words were misspelled like; promptly, Los Angeles was spelt as Los Angles, parch, rate etc. I am going to rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to those people who prefer books on investigations.
