[Following is a volunteer review of "The Site" by Carlos Valrand.]
Book: The Site
Author: Carlos B. Valrand
Year: 2021
ISBN: 9780578838137
Rating : 3.2/4
The author is Carlos B. Valrand is based out of Texas who contributes to the website internetlooks.com and participated as an engineer in NASA. This book is the second edition written by him.
The story revolves around a London schoolteacher who gets disturbing dreams about strangers. She could hear a man’s voice and can recollect entering dream experiences. The dreams are based on two American investigation agents Charles and Vivian who are in search of government documents. With investigation, the story unveils that the pair encounter a hazardous world of secrets.
To decode her dreams Cicely goes to Dr. McClellan, a psychiatrist who analyses her dreams and treats her on neurotic anxiety. The clues found in the mysterious government document lead Charles and Vivian to give the pair captivating questions.
“You are today what yesterday you were—tomorrow you shall not be less” is a pragmatic and inspiring quote from the first chapter of Manifestation.
The book ‘The Site’ is a good read and the words are quite engaging. The overall flow of the book is systematic and readers can connect to the characters of the story. The reading experience was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I won’t recommend it for soft-hearted people as it’s a bit mysterious and you may find it a bit horrifying.
