[Following is a volunteer review of "Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook" by Fred Sievert.]
Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook by Fred Sievert is a book written to open the eyes of the target audience which is everyone entering or re-entering the workforce, though it was inspired by an intelligent question asked by the author's daughter. It gives a clear definition of the processes involved in effectively managing a business environment. It discusses the strategies and tactics needed to get the desired result in your organization.
This book was amazingly written to prepare everyone adequately for a better and productive lifestyle in the workforce. The book gives explicit and relatable tips on how to rise fast to the top of your game in the workforce. Even though it seems to be faith-based, the steps given are described in relatable terms for people in business regardless of the religious background.
In this book, the basis of starting out, growing consistently as well as strategies involved in personal development were discussed with brevity. As someone entering or re-entering the workforce, this book equips you with the certain skills and core values needed to keep the spotlight on you. The action steps in this book can be independently taken and assessed.
I personally consider this book as helpful due to the simple terms used and the imaginative style of writing that was adopted. It marvels me to see how much such a topic had been extensively discussed using short and clear terms. Paying close attention to every detail of the book was quite easy for me since the flow was tactically maintained.
Having read other business related books, I found this book to be exemplary in its way of delivering the message to the audience. I personally do not find anything I dislike about the book. And I think it has been professionally edited, because I could not lay my hands on any error. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to everyone interested in entering or re-entering the workforce and wants to bring out the best in them.
