Broken Inn starts out a little on the slow side, allowing the reader to put the book down and come back.

After the first few chapters, Broken Inn became the ultimate who and what are the bad guys. One would find themselves wondering what was being hidden that the bad guys would resort to killing those who interfered with their mission.

It had several instances of swearing, however, it (the word sh*t) effectively drove across the feelings of the characters without being vulgar.

Mixing of the characters keeps the reader intrigued by trying to figure out which characters were good and which were bad.

Adding a dog into the mix gave the reader a sense of companionship for the main characters.

The author left the readers hanging at the end by not giving the reader more background on "Relic" the main character. It would have been nice to have added a few more chapters to explain who Relic was and what his mission was. As well, it would have been nice if the author had actually finished out the ending of Hailey, Ash and Chance, vs leaving the readers to assume their final destination.

Overall, this book was an easy read, and once into the story kept the reader reading to find out more. The final rating of the book is 3 out of 4.
