A lazy, feel good book is this That guy what kill Topsy by Peter Wood Cotterill. The book is a collection of short stories dealing with a plethora of topics and also a novella, which like all other stories focusses on the varied nature of human character and emotions.

The stories often instigate a philosophical mind to ponder over the queer nature of human beings. The stories are too real and you feel as if someone is sitting right in front of you telling you a nice tale of the cruelty, passion and gentleness of human beings. It also raises certain social issues like acid attack, homelessness of many, lack of a good life and also the hardships of the Africans and the author's own experiences of Africa.

This book is one that will make you pause in your busy life and ask you to think. The depth of emotion is so profound in the characters that the heart jumps with joy to find partners of feeling, albeit fictional. Nothing in the stories seems made up. Also the titles are remarkably attractive. They goad you to read the stories. The flaws of the characters are portrayed with unflinching honesty and the descriptions of the setting are a rarity. The variety in the life of the author has lent such a diversity in the stories that it is an absolute delight to read this book.

This book has feeling, has all the elements to classify as a golden book except for its pace. The lack of it bothered me and hence completing this book took time. It felt as if the book had its deficiency only in its pacing. There is nothing else that I disliked in this book. In fact I adored it and if you want to feel good, sit with it only for a few minutes.

I will recommend it to anyone who wants to slow down in life and take a moment to ponder. This book is one of those which will teach you a lot and stay close to you forever. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. Also this book was exceptionally well edited. It deserves appreciation.

This book is meant for people above 13 because the depth of it could only be felt by them. It does not have sexually explicit content. However reading this book without really using your brain is worthless. The sharp satirical comments, the mellow words and deeds of love are meant for matured people only who can praise life even in harshness.
