After nearly losing her life in an aeroplane crash, she became traumatized. It took her ten long agonizing years, to finally recover from it. All that time she searched for ways that would enable her recover, which was not an easy task. Some individuals misunderstood her, especially the psychologists who were supposed to treat her, because of lack of dedication and understanding towards their patients, by coming to conclusions they knew nothing about. But then, in searching for how to recover, she also met individuals who helped her understand and understood what she was going through, for example, individuals who were going through the same situation as she was, her husband, and friends.

The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy is a book that was authored by H. Nattanya Andersen. From my point of view, while I was reading this book, it felt as though I was taking a course in Psychology. There was so much that I did not know, but then, I have discovered just by reading this book. She says that she did a lot of research, interacted with many people, and I totally agree given the volume of this book. My enjoyment of reading surfaced and increased, because I discovered so much that I did not know, for example, the drugs, methods of treatment. I also noticed so many mistakes, while I was reading this book. I loved the book in general and per that I give it a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. This is because it helped me understand what the word Psychology means. She also helped me understand what being traumatized means, that is, causes, effects, and results.

Aspects such as the disorders, contribution of the metals from which jewellery is made towards one's well-being, psychic abilities really caught my eye. I have learnt that we all set out to do different things, or achieve goals, but as time goes on we in one way or another deviate away from our aspirations. This may be because of what we have seen, learned, experienced, discovered, is presently happening. Each country has weaknesses and wrong characters everywhere. The need for every adult to earn a living depending on where he or she is a blockage towards some of the good things he or she can deliver, or accomplish. I think Kennedy has reasons why he behaves like that. I also think he will never say, hence making him an angry soul who just says what he believes is true to him.

While I read, I discovered that some of information was repeated. The downside was that I thought I was reading the same chapter. This was not the case. It was that the author earlier on introduced some topics by giving a bit of information, and then later on, she thoroughly uncovered all of the information she had gathered about them. This book, better yet this story, is a non-fiction. Therefore, everything has been told from first-hand experience. Hence, you may agree or disagree. In my case, there is one aspect apart from all that I discovered that I did not know and I am in total agreement with. That is, that the self is the one that can heal the self. That is, you are the only one who can heal yourself. This is because you are the one who knows your experiences, body's feelings and thoughts, likes and dislikes and so on.

This book helped me discover and understand better what I originally did not know. Trauma comes due to a number of aspects, though the author mainly focused on veterans, accident survivors, rape victims, et cetera, but failure is also one of them. The most famously known is academic, but there are others, for example, love, financial, behavioral. Think of any. I recommend this book to you. I recommend it to psychiatrists who feel they studied but can not make much progress with their patients and they are the only ones who know but can't reveal . Others include those in the different fields of Science, who love personal soul searching, and anyone who loves discovering what is helpful but was originally not known. Please, read this story. You will be left astonished, just like I was.
