Review of Steel Reign: Flight of The Starship Concord
Steel Reign:Flight of the Starship Concord was a Sci-fi action adventure written by Braxton A. Cosby. The story was narrated by the main character Reign who was once a thief, then spy now turned into a bounty hunter due to the changed circumstances. He decided to search his long-lost Sister Olia also to get the antibody for his Venomous DX viral infection. The story takes place in the solar system Proxima Centauri. His sister Olia was taken by Space Pirate Forge and made her compete into Arena of sport where a deadliest game is held. Even though it was scary and dangerous, Olia became a top athlete. She was now trapped in the Eclipse which runs by the energy of dark matter. The voyage to reach Olia is not an easy challenge as he was always demanded by other bounty hunters and the way to reach Eclipse is expensive and much more dangerous. And the difficulties in the journey through the Starship Concord to the Eclipse made the plot quite captivating and longing to know the end. Comes to the Main character, Reign always do his project single-handedly but in this journey he assists with the hacker Gifford, spaceship pilot stink and his former co-partner in theft and lover. Personally I liked the friend like Character Gifford who was always beside him through the journey and plan-maker.
The narrative was in a constant flow and it takes us to the imaginary world of Space with exciting features. Though I am not that much familiar to the scientific gadgets and Space Science the references of spaceship, solar cycles, space guns and creatures made the story lively and captivating. The fight and adventurous scenarios were described well
I gave this book 3 out of 4. The author's attempt to use number(1) instead of one is somewhat different to read as it is my first time to see such difference but that attempt is encourgable. There is one or two typo errors. Other than that, the vocabulary and choice of words are remarkable. The narration of story in perspective of main Character and corresponding note to the past of Reign made the reading comfortable to solve the nots in the present situation.
I hope there will be an another book of this sequel in near future. The chemistry between the characters is uplift the plot and it will be adventurous to have a another part.
I recommend this book to sci-fi and galaxy based story readers and it gives an amazing experience of travelling in the space.
