[Following is a volunteer review of "Living Forward After Loss" by Kathleen Ho.]
If someone is ever lost in the pain of a loved one's death and is craving for healing, this is the best book for you. Living Forward After Loss is a story of how Kathleen Ho overcome the most depressing and sorrowful part of her life. When sadness seems to be unending and the negativity became unbearable, Kathleen found herself looking for a way out. It took a lot of courage to speak out about her husband's death, but the gift of that storm is not just a rainbow but her book; Living Forward After Loss. The story involves a lot of empathy and support. Kathleen made sure to put herself in someone else's shoes while writing it. Living Forward After Loss is a book of encouragement. It motivates the reader to move forward and to seek the light at the end of a dark tunnel. Death is a scary and painful phase in one's life, the emptiness sure is overwhelming but like Kathleen Ho and the legacy of his husband; there is always a bright tomorrow for those who fight for it.
The good point I sighted about this beautiful book is it is written from the heart of Kathleen Ho. The content is emotional and real. A true book of healing. Moreover, the healing that was suggested was not rushed and forced. The book allows the reader to take it little by little, one step at a time. The words used were carefully chosen and the short stories inside also bring peace.
I did not find any negative part in Living Forward After Loss. There is no profanity and sexual content. The message is pure positivity and healing. It is also for everyone, the book does not harm any race or religious beliefs. There is nothing to dislike about it.
I would like to recommend this magnificent book 4 out of 4 stars. I love it. The message that the book wants to relay is very inspirational. Kathleen Ho is such a brave woman who shares the pain, the emptiness, the realization, the moving on, and the remembrance of one of the most challenging times in her life. It is worth reading and it is worth applying in real life.
Kathleen Ho says 'We grieve because we had love and a beautiful and unbreakable relationship with the deceased person' that's why I would recommend this book for everyone who is still stuck in the pain of grieving. People lost someone at different ages, some lost their parents at their young age, some lost their partner at their peak age and I supposed that this book will help them bring back the joy again in their life.
