When Peyton and Hailey were born, grandma was ecstatic. These new grandkids brought so much light into grandma’s life. She played with them and got them stuffed toys. Grandma let them play in her private garden and feed her birds. Watching Peyton and Hailey grow delighted grandma, and she loved to show them new tricks. One day Peyton did a backbend and grandma tried to show Peyton that she could do it too. But could she do it safely at her age? Read what happens afterwards in this book.

Love, Grandma is a children’s book written by Ann Morris. It shows us a lovely relationship filled with a unique bond between a grandmother and her grandchildren. The language of the book is easy to read; exactly right for children. The story is written in poetic style such that the last word in each verse rhymes beautifully.

I loved everything about the book. The editing was amazing, and I found not a single typographical error. This is good because children’s books should be free of errors. The book has only a few pages and a child could easily read it at once or someone could read it to a younger child who cannot read yet. I loved the colourful illustrations the best. I particularly liked how much detail there was in the illustrations and how realistic they were. One of the girls had blue eyes, just like her grandma.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. I am glad to give Love, Grandma four out of four stars.

I recommend this book to children of ages three and up. Adults looking for a light read will also enjoy this book immensely, just as I did. I never had a close relationship with a grandmother or grandfather, but this book is likely going to bring up sentimental feelings in readers who had a similar relationship with a grandparent.
