Serendipity Mystery is a children's story that follows the diary of a snoopy cat, Inca. The story happens within a week, from 10th June Sunday morning to 17th June Sunday evening. Inca is a detective cat who works on mysterious cases with the help of his siblings, Cara and Fromage, and his friends, Charlotte, Monk, Polo, and Terrance. Terrance was also a detective dog by profession, and with his help, the Inca company became a strong team. Inca was always happy when they went on new adventures. It was possible because their humanoid caretaker, mum, was taking them on holiday. In this series, mum was taking them to the sunny island of Sri Lanka. Inca was sad because Monk and Polo would not join them on this new adventure. Therefore, he was happy to write in his diary to share part of his experience with them. Part of the exciting adventure in this series is how Inca and company retrieve the stolen gold coins and sword.

This book is full of knowledge. I learned about Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, and that the city is now a UNESCO world heritage site. That is one of the reasons I liked this book. Another reason is the description of the characters and the fact that these characters are animals. I think the children will enjoy reading about Meena and Rani. There is also a mention of monkeys and water buffaloes. There are also life lessons in this book. The author, R.F. Kristi, has written a simple and exciting story that children will enjoy. I like the diary format that the author has used. This story is well-written from the first-person perspective.

There is nothing I disliked in this book. The story is engaging, and the flow is astounding. The title of the book suits it, and the ending is satisfactory.

I highly recommend this book to children under the age of 12years. Parents can read to or with children under the age of 7. I find that children are full of curiosity and as snoopy as Inca. Therefore they will enjoy this book. The editing in this book is exceptional, with zero errors.

I award Serendipity Mystery a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because the story is engaging, simple and the editing is professional.
