Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula

[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
Imagine having a pet that is adventurous, intelligent, and also security conscious. Such a pet would be a great asset. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R. F. Kristi contains an interesting tale of a group of pets with these lovable qualities.
Inca, a Siberian cat, is the head of her detective team. Other members of her team include Cara, Monk, Polo, Terrance, Charlotte, and Fromage. Inca and others were to accompany their human mom to South Korea for a competition. She had produced a lovely cheese called La Creme de la Creme. However, Enzo, a rival competitor, is envious and would stop at nothing to discredit the new cheese.
It was fun to read about the courageous efforts of Inca and her team to protect the family's interests. The story is believable, and the narrative flows smoothly in simple grammar. Beautiful and expressive pictures also adorn the book.
My most favorite aspect of this book is the outstanding theme of friendship. The pets work as a team in harmony and minor flaws are overlooked. For instance, when Fromage bragged about his ability as a cheese expert, Cara merely rolled her eyes, and later, Inca did not fail to praise him for a good deed.
I also love the descriptive nature of the narrative. It made the story real and captivating. An example is found on page 42 where the narrative said, "The small wooden Villa lay like some wonderful chocolate cake on a flat green grassy meadow."
I have no dislikes about this book. It is free of profanities and sexual scenes. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The text is easy to understand and exceptionally well edited. While it is ideal for kids between 5 to 11 years of age, adults can also have a nice time reading through this book.
