Review of The Party Line
The author Dennis D. Gagnon takes everyone on his mystical journey as a young, energetic boy who seeks to find meaning behind everything that surrounds him. He tries to know all the hidden facts behind the working of the world and accidentally discovers a way to another realm. There he begins performing experiments to understand the working and connection between the two realms and while doing so, he unknowingly became the cause of his childhood bestfriend, D's untimely death. Later D's ghost approaches him and asks for help to seek revenge on the monster that killed him; meanwhile the monster wants to kill the author. How will the author save himself? How will the ghost seek revenge? Was D's girlfriend a god? 'The Party Line' is a phenomenal story featuring dragons, ghosts, gods, monster, fight between good and evil and so much more.
'The Party Line' is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy, primarily based on the party line theory of consciousness. It contains many scientific and philosophical theories, analysis and their connection to the world, supporting the readers to have better imagination and strong thought process. It beautifully shows the adventures of two young souls enjoying, exploring and learning to their fullest. The Greek mythology is generously distributed throughout the book. The author tries to present his thoughts in the simplest and most relatable fashion; unlike typical books about these subjects. The message of love, importance of strong will power and understanding the consequences of our actions is embedded in the core of the book.
The book itself is fairly organized with simple and easily understandable language, but at some point it might get difficult for the readers without any science or philosophical background to keep up with long, detailed explanations; specially when we are left to drive conclusions of our own. But that does not overpower the amazing story line, characters and all the knowledge it offers.
'The Party Line' has a lot to offer, from social messages to the change in human nature with growing age with special emphasis on having strong will power. I can't help but give it 4 out of 4 stars for the mesmerizing story and unbelievably easy representation of theories.
Overall, 'The Party Line' is a great books with unprecedented views on the world and the new way of conveying the story. It is a perfect fit for those who are interested in philosophy and are ready to try something new.
