Inca, her fellow detective team, and their human mom named Missy have traveled to Sri Lanka. The island is warm and relaxing, and unexpectedly, Missy allows the animals to enjoy ice cream. As an occasional offer, they're over the moon!

As mom devours the daily gazette, she comes across some interesting information. An antique sword has been stolen by unknown perpetrators from the main museum. A well-polished and renowned detective, Solo, has been hired to investigate the matter. Inca and her team decide to get into action. Why would someone steal a specific sword? How did they do it from a highly guarded museum?

I enjoyed how the Siberian kitty narrated the story. She made it more gripping, given readers could feel the happiness, sadness, relaxation, among other feelings of the animals. Every time the team of detectives did something that would jeopardize their lives, I jolted in fear.

The animals were of different breeds and types. Their togetherness, despite that fact, was notable! Kids, too, will learn to live in harmony, despite their differences in race, religion, etc.

I'll talk about what I didn't like. It's common knowledge that animals do not communicate the same language as humans. Therefore, assuming Inca and her fellow detectives solved the case and uncovered the missing artifact, the hired human detective would receive all the credit while it was the animals' doing. Besides that, everything else was well executed.

I observed zero grammatical errors. Thus, Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a well-edited novella. Kids will learn how to brainstorm fast when faced with a challenge, just as Inca and her team did. I will award the book 4 out of 4 stars because it deserves so. I recommend it to kids of all ages, as I believe each of them will learn a valuable lesson from Inca and her detective team.
