[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Inca and her furry family are vacationing on the lovely beaches of Sri Lanka. When she isn't lounging around in the sunny warmth of the island, she is solving mysteries in London. In London, Inca is a famous detective. Inca also owns a detective company that comprises her furry companions. One morning, before another blissful day on the beach, Inca learns that a precious antique has gone missing from a prominent museum.
Instantly, Inca is on the case. With the help of her friends, Inca sets out to discover who is behind the disappearance. Will Inca be successful? And will she be able to recover the antique? And who is Mr. Appu?
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a children's novel brimming with adventure. Throughout the story, Inca makes new friends while uncovering a mystery.
I enjoyed how descriptive this book was. The thorough descriptions made me feel like I was living the story myself. The beaches and jungles were lifelike because of this. There were hints of humor here and there that made me giggle. One animal, Cara, has become my favorite. Even though she is a cat, her personality is like mine.
I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy adventure and mysteries. Although the book is childlike, it can still hold the interest of older readers.
One positive aspect for me about this book is how informative it can be. There are many diverse animals introduced, such as pythons and leopards. These animals can be new to the younger audience. I also admire the leadership Inca displays. Whenever there is a problem, Inca is the first one suggesting solving it. I have no negative viewpoints about this book.
I give Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat 4 out of 4 stars. I give this rating because the story is intriguing, and each character is relatable. I found no errors during my read.
