[Following is a volunteer review of "The Party Line" by Dennis D. Gagnon.]
The Party Line is a beautiful work of fiction by Dennis D. Gagnon. It comprises nineteen chapters. This thrilling book narrates the story of a young boy who, at a young age, got interested in metaphysics. He keeps studying and trying to understand the science behind meditation, hallucinations, religion, and the existence of aliens. He wanted to know the effect of consciousness in the other world and determine if communication could be passed from this mundane realm to The Aethereal Realm.
This book introduces the narrator and his best friend, whose name is D. According to the story, they grew up together and went to the same school. They always walked back home from school together, played together, and confronted bullies together. As the story progressed, and in his quest to answer the questions he had about the other realm and how it functioned, the narrator put his best friend in danger. However, so many questions are still left to be answered. Would he find answers to these questions? Would he be able to save his best friend from this danger? Or would he be consumed by his desire to get answers? Find out by reading this exciting book.
The Party Line has some positive aspects. I found Dennis D. Gagnon's excellent way of storytelling fantastic; for instance, I enjoyed how he described the characters. From the first chapter, it felt as if I could relate to these characters. I found D to be an intriguing character. Another positive point in favor of this book is the author's use of pictures to illustrate his points; it helped me to visualize certain scenes in this book, and this added to my overall enjoyment. Again, the language of the book is relatively easy to understand. It did not give me any difficulty as a reader. Another notable point is the coherence between the chapters; although the book contained several chapters, my interest while reading was not lost because every chapter was connected to the next. The story continues fascinatingly throughout the book. I did not find grammatical errors in this book. This shows that it was exceptionally well edited.
I tried so hard to find a negative aspect of this book, but I found none. I enjoyed everything about this book. The author told this story in a unique manner; everything about this book is fascinating.
Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I did not give this book a lower rating because it was intriguing and enjoyable. I gave this book a perfect rating because I could not find anything negative about it.
I recommend this book to those who are interested in science-fiction novels. Anyone who loves fiction, especially horror fiction, will enjoy reading this book.
