Are you a person who is interested in traveling? Are you an individual who is always in a search of quality food in restaurants? Is Bordeaux your all-time favorite wine? If yes, then Exploring Wine Regions - Bordeaux France by Michael C. Higgins, PhD is the perfect book for you. It will increase your pleasure and knowledge.

In this book, the author described the history, process, and every aspect related to Bordeaux wine. He unraveled the complexities of Bordeaux. The author went deep into considering its topography and the other factors affecting this wine. He presented a small guide to Bordeaux. He even mentioned the spectacular landmarks like Sainte-Croix Church, Grosse Cloche, etc. The author has also provided a list of hotels and restaurants which provide Bordeaux wine like Fufu Ramen, Jean-Marc Quarin, etc. While analyzing the entire process of its making, the author has also cleared the concepts of Bordeaux left bank, CRU Bourgeois, soft feminine Margaux. One can find a wide study of ingredients used, grave region, appellations of graves, and classified wines. This wine was developed around 850 years ago and the involvement of innovation has increased its quality. This was started in 1853 when Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild purchased “Château Brane- Mouton” to produce high-quality wines. Lastly, the author recounted how this wine is mainly based on soil, and climate.

There are photos of the Bordeaux wine and its making, which make it more engaging and fascinating for the readers. The author has guided about how to read this book so that everyone can have a better understanding of it. To make it more captivating, he has also provided the maps and tables of wine and tourism. I like that the author has been very honest with his observations. On one hand, he has pointed out all the details of bars that provide Bordeaux wine and on the other hand, he has also provided critical reviews of these bars. I also like the short stories about the families and cultures associated with Bordeaux wine. He has also provided lists of wineries, accommodations, and other definitions related to this wine. The author’s way of writing is commendable. It seems as if he is talking to the readers.

There’s nothing which I disliked in this book. There are no grammatical errors, profane words, or sexual content.

Considering all the aspects, the colorful photos, short cultural stories, list of wineries, restaurants, and accommodations, and other maps, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I am rating it 4 stars because this is an exceptionally well-edited book.

I recommend this book to all readers. It can definitely increase one’s knowledge and taste about Bordeaux wine. However, this book is perfect for those readers who love traveling, food, and Bordeaux wine. It is not written in hardcore English, so everyone can easily understand it.
