Manifesto for a Cancer Patient written by Colleen Huber, NMD is a non-fiction book. The purpose of the book was talked about in the preface: ”The purpose of this book is to focus attention on the sovereignty of the individual who receives a cancer diagnosis”. The book has 2 parts. In part 1, chapters 1 to 12, the author explained how naturopathic oncologists help cancer patients and the hidden face of cancer politics. In part 2, chapters 13 to 22, she talked about nutrition in detail.

In the preface, the author wrote that chapter 7 is tedious. Chapter 6 and Chapter 8 are fairly dreary. This is a rare thing for the authors. I appreciate the author for her honesty. Chapter 7 has nine tables. There is enough data for cancer. She shared figures and tables.

The author has a deep knowledge of medicine and understands the dark side of this industry. She was born into a family that cares about natural treatment and foods from nature. She wanted to be the kind of doctor that her own family and she needed for the rest of their lives.

Colleen Huber provided exercises and a diet for everyone. She highlighted the disadvantages of sugar and the benefits of vitamins A, C, and D. They are quite easy to apply. She showed mistakes in the chemotherapy industry. Most cancer patients are offered chemotherapy. They are advised as chemotherapy is a unique way to solve this. She compared chemotherapy to natural treatments. She also discovered the secret behind the American Medical Association. Likewise, she shared many great pieces of advice and honest opinions. I appreciate her bravery when she talked about the secret of the American Medical Association.

The language in the book is simple and easy to understand. Although the author used many medical terms, the book is still easy to understand for readers who are not in medicine. I didn’t find any errors in spelling or grammar. The book was edited by a professional. There is no negative aspect for me. I learned many lessons about food and natural living.

The knowledge about medicine in the book is deep and useful. It was well written and researched. I think the information in the book helps people make good decisions about treatment. This information is useful for all people, including cancer patients and healthy people. For these reasons, I rate the book four out of four stars.

I would recommend the book to medical students. And the readers care about cancer and natural treatment. The book has a lot of useful information. Everyone can learn many lessons from the book when they read it. Readers should carefully read it and take notes.
