Randy Love is the youngest child of Marjorie and John Love. He has two siblings—a sister named Harriet and a brother named James. Harriet is a successful architect and James is a senior partner at a law firm in London; they are both doing well in life. On the other hand, Randy's character is the opposite of his siblings'. He is a free- spirited young man with a charming personality. With his looks, he easily attracts girls; however, he is not the type of person to stay in a relationship. He flirts with random women and sleeps around without discretion. He is selfish and manipulative. With only a year to go, he drops out of college and decides to start earning a living by working part-time jobs. Later, he gets a job at a reputable bank. After several months of working at the bank, he gets bored with his job and decides to relocate to London. While in London, he meets a girl called Nicky; she is a junior solicitor working for Randy's brother, James. Will Randy be able to stay in this relationship? Randy the Irresistible by S M Goodier is a relaxing read that introduces the reader to the adventurous life of Randy Love.

I had fun reading about Randy's mishaps and misadventures. His character is fun and realistic. The author skillfully engages the reader by employing the use of comedy; the dialogues are hilarious and I enjoyed all the British humor. The book contains a lot of British terminology and slang. I love that at the end of the book, the author added an index of these terminologies and slang words; I found this to be very helpful. The author's ability to develop characters is remarkable; the reader can easily picture the characters based on the author's description. In particular, Michael's character is intriguing; he had a knack of getting on Randy's nerves. Nevertheless, Randy respected him because of his wisdom and knowledge. I could not find anything to dislike about this book; it was a breath of fresh air. The author did not disappoint.

The book was professionally edited as I only found one error. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I am happy to give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to young adults about to leave their parents and venture out on their own. Just like it says in the book description, the book gives an account of what young people face when leaving the comfort of their home. Readers that enjoy British humor will especially love this book. Anyone interested in reading this book should be aware that the book contains profanity and some erotic scenes.
