Review of The Touch

[Following is a volunteer review of "The Touch" by Robert Flynn III.]
The Touch: Supernatural Story-Part 1 by Robert E. Flynn is an alluring supernatural novel with a mix of mystery and fantasy that captures the reader's attention till the concluding page.
Gabriel is a fascinating young boy who has lived in an orphanage for his entire life. This voice in his head gave daily instructions from a very young age. The voice is authentic, with a supernatural presence. Gabriel doesn't trust it, and this distrust never leaves him, yet Gabriel finds what he's experiencing is far too powerful to resist. Gabriel needed to speak to someone that he could trust. In the meantime, all over the world, young children heard the same voice, some more clearly than others. Maral's character shows a stronger resistance to the ''voice.''
Living in a country orphanage with his friend and roommate, "Josh.” Josh knew Gabriel was speaking to someone and needed to experience the same. One night Josh saw Gabriel’s body glowing and thought he was dreaming before falling asleep. Both Gabriel and Josh were hoping to be adopted soon as brothers. They were fond of each other and belonged together. Their hopes were coming together when a nurse decided that she would love to adopt both the boys. The same voice guided her to the orphanage to execute her plan.
Whom did the voice belong to, and why did it speak to people? The reader will have to read each chapter to answer this question. Overall, the author did an excellent job creating the characters with genuine personalities of fear, love, and hope. I felt sympathy towards the characters that experienced so much disappointment in life.
The first chapter is intriguing and draws you into these mysterious supernatural events, of children hearing voices and their touch spreading energy through the world. This novel was easy to read, however, I had to foist myself to keep reading when the chapters became loaded with too much detail. The pace picked up, and I enjoyed reading again. I am smitten with Anakim and Abdul's personalities, that's been well-developed. The book is a unique, imaginative story with the possibility of a second novel. Robert E. Flynn's narrative voice and his ability to create foil characters are excellent.
I rate the novel 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed reading the book and could visualize the supernatural activities. It's an amazing novel and deserves the rating. I didn't find any grammar or spelling errors. The book was very well-edited. I recommend the novel to readers with a love of supernatural adventures mixed with mystery. Younger readers will enjoy reading this unique story, loaded with a gripping tale and thought-full ideas regarding beliefs and power.
