Review of Randy the Irresistible
Randy the Irresistible by S M Goodie is a very unique book that takes the reader on an adventure with a man who is finding the meaning of life and along the way we learn more about Randy and the lessons he learns along the way as this story unfolds. The story highlights so many important lessons which actually made book stand out to me. The way the author depicts the life of Randy and the problems he faces, making this book extremely appealing because it’s related to our current life problems.
Randy Love is the central character in this story who has dropped out of college and tends to act with selfish intent. He is also very foolish and at the same time he is trying to figure out is life and the people that should be in it. Randy is a womanizer and can be described as a conceited individual that I view as being disrespectful to females. Everything for Randy is a joke as he only has interest in money, betting and playing pranks. Randy’s character develops with the realization that he has much more potential and the story moves to London with the aim of passing an exam. Along the way Randy meets new people and as a character he becomes more mature as he faces the new challenges that come.
Randy the Irresistible was a very interesting book and had a very unique story line, one that I haven’t come across in other books. I loved that this book had several touches of realism to the story. The story narration in this book was fabulous because it was consistent with the plot. I liked that we also got exposure to other characters in the story, such as; Edna Montague, Rodney, John and Michael Goddard. With the inclusion of these other characters it helped put this story into perspective and this something that I appreciate because most novels lack this. The story was edited professionally to my knowledge because I did not find any grammar errors. The copy of this book that I received did not have any error of any sort that I had noticed. The book does contain profanity throughout the book.
There was absolutely nothing that I did dislike about this book and if I was to say anything that is negative from my point of view, then I wouldn’t do justice with my review therefore I have to give this book a well deserving 4 out of 4 stars. In my view this story did not lack in field and proved to be a very heart-warming book.
I highly recommend this book to mature individuals that enough slow developing books with life lessons. This book is excellent for light leisure reading and for people who love books that also are realistic.
