The snoopy cat is back again, with yet another new case. And this time, Inca and her furry pals aren't just solving mysteries, but also making new friends in the faraway land of Sri Lanka.

Serendipity Mystery: Diary Of A Snoopy Cat is the seventh book in the Inca Cat Detective series. Inca, a kitty of the Siberian variety, lives in London with her family members, including 3 other kitties (Charlotte, Cara, and Fromage) and their owner, Missy, who they refer to as Mom. The four adorable cats join their Mom on a vacation to Sri Lanka. They are having a great and peaceful time, which mostly comprises of eating, resting, sleeping, and repeating the process. Meanwhile, they also bond with local animals like Meena, the baby elephant, her mama elephant, and Rani, the sea turtle. However, their serene holiday is interrupted by the news of a robbery at a nearby museum. The robbers escaped with a chest full of gold coins and a valuable sword. Inca, being true to herself, jumps into detective mode and wants to solve the case. Luckily, Terrance (a detective dog and Inca's friend) and Solo (a famous detective and Terrance's owner) have been recruited to assist in the investigation of the missing treasures. Their inclusion in the case again provides Inca with an excellent opportunity to flaunt her newfound detective skills.

How will Inca and company be able to get their paws on this new case? And if they succeed in doing so, will they be able to solve it?

I've read two books in the Inca series before, and this one is by far the best of the three. R. F. Kristi has written an entertaining story with a good mix of suspense and adventure. I enjoyed both aspects of the book, and I believe the young readers will enjoy them as well. What I liked about the book is how Inca and her family meet new local animals and make friends with them. These animals also play a huge role in helping them in the case of missing artifacts. Inca's encounter with a python, as well as a chance meeting with her distant relatives, add drama to the story. It's also not just about solving mysteries for the cats. They also get to enjoy the culture and various tourist attractions of the lovely little island. I liked how the author included a fascinating insight into Sri Lankan culture that young readers will undoubtedly find interesting. She has also imparted valuable lessons, such as the importance of working as a team and also the true meaning of friendship.

There was nothing I disliked about the book. The copy I received was a well-edited one, as there were no grammatical errors to be found. The hilarious and colorful illustrations are the biggest highlights of the Inca series, and they keep getting better with each book. I can't take Inca and her furry family on exotic vacations, but the least I could do is give these adorable cats 4 out of 4 stars.

Because this is a children's book, their input is important and valuable. So I invited my 9-year-old niece to join me in the reading, and she thoroughly enjoyed the book. She loved the illustrations, which complemented the story and improved her reading experience. She did, however, face some difficulty in understanding the meaning of a few words, such as smug and perked. Based on my research, I believe that children aged 9 to 12 will be able to enjoy and connect with the book more. I'd like to read and review more books in the Inca series and recommend them to the kids in my neighborhood.
