Review of The Watchmaker’s Doctor

[Following is a volunteer review of "The Watchmaker’s Doctor" by G. M. T. Schuilling.]
Life is not always fair, and life sometimes throws an opportunity that you cannot say no to. If you have such a ticket that could provide you with an opportunity to bypass death, would you use the ticket? Would you make the same choices as before or will you take a completely new direction? And with the chance to live again, is it possible for you to overlook when you know that your death is predetermined? G.M.T. Schuilling take us into his fictional world where the protagonist is given such an opportunity with not a ticket but a watch. The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella is a fast-paced novella that talks about time travelling with the help of a mysterious watch by an even mysterious watchmaker.
The thing I enjoyed reading The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella was the intuitive character of Anaya. I could connect with the conflicts she was having during her second chance at life. Anaya’s emotional turmoil when she thinks that the major changes in the lives of her friends is because of the different path she chose is what each one of us would think when we have a second chance at something. One would think ‘is it because of the decision I made/ not made?’
There is nothing that I disliked about The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella. It was thoughtfully written and well edited as I did not come across any grammatical errors or typos. I rate The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella, 4 out of 4 stars.
Is time travel for real? I have been wondering about this even before I read the book. As Anaya, I have been caught off guard and felt this was insane. I also kept wondering if I was presented with a similar opportunity like Anaya, would I accept or reject. And what if I regret the decision I took, because as quoted from The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella, it is true that death can't be cheated, but there are endless ways that life can be lived. There is no rule book that one could abide all the time. I must say this book is pure fantasy and that it is extremely well written.
The Watchmaker’s Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella is recommended to everyone who loves to read in one go and love to have a timely escape from normalcy. It goes without saying that readers who love time travelling will enjoy it thoroughly.
