Review of Fast Starting a Career of Consequence: Workbook
This book Fast-Starting a Career of Consequence is about the relationship between faith and career at the workplace. As a workforce beginner, the author advises you to do a spiritual gifts assessment exercise to discern and identify your spiritual gifts to enhance effectiveness and use them not for personal gain, but in your personal life and success in the workplace.He points out that it’s equally important for everyone to have a specific set of beliefs and values to guide them in decisions making.
The author Fred Sievert encourages workers to engage in activities that go against personal values and beliefs. They should know their legal rights, stand up for their principles and be careful not to succumb to corporate greed.
The book also cautions career entrants to strive to succeed in their career development and not think of accumulating wealth and stresses praying several times when caught up in difficult situations.
The author encourages the workers to be honesty at the workplace, and exercise integrity, and be faithful, to advance in their career development.
He stresses the need for a new workforce as a Fast-Starting a Career of Consequence they ought to show they are committed to working and willing to complete every assigned on time. He discourages employees from creed and selfish gain for them to excel in their career development.
They should memorize the company’s mission and vision statements to learn more about the business and often network with other people at all levels of the organization.

I enjoyed various sections in this book and read it several times. The author brought in the element of new employees learning the company’s income and position statements; for each period and using the knowledge they gained to think strategically so that the business can reap revenue from their commitments.
Again book tells the workforce at the entry-level to take charge of their professional and personal development plans by creating a vision of where they want to be in the years to come and advises them to commit to doing what it takes for their professional growth by willing to step out of the comfort zone and take on new challenges ahead of them.
Accordingly, during career development, an employee should distinguish him or herself as someone with leadership qualities, prepare well in case of any meeting and regard it as an opportunity to gain knowledge.
I will rate the book Fast-Starting a Career of Consequence on a scale of “4 out of 4”; because it touches on elements of personal growth, employees learning financial statements and various cautions, being honest, commitments, taking responsibility for mistakes, and apologizing whenever necessary.
I recommend this book to everyone looking to achieve knowledge, growth, and advancement in their career to read this book. This book will help you understand your abilities and guide you to learn the working culture of any organization as a new employee.
