The The Watchmaker's Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella by G. M. T. SCHUILLING was enjoyable. It is a classic of the Science Fiction genre which speculates on what might happen if one was able to travel back in time. The story revolves around Anaya, a 35-year-old woman who gets the chance to travel back in time and improve her life. Can she utilize this opportunity well? Could she change her life for the better?

As Anaya returned to her youth, I thought about how much I wanted to go back to my teenage years. When she was around her friends, it reminded me of my friends back then. Her relationship with her parents reminded me of how unaware I used to be of my parents' lives. As I read the story, I was reminded of my own life. It was totally relatable. I just loved Anaya. I felt a strong connection to a fictional character after so long. I will never forget her.

The time travel genre is a sensitive one, where even the smallest mistake could ruin a story. If not written well, it could create confusion. But G. M. T. SCHUILLING did a great job of writing a story that was easy to understand. Aside from time travel, the book also discusses mental health and how one should take care of oneself.

The author included all the elements (love, emotions, jokes, twists, and sci-fi concepts) at the right amount. Nothing was overdone. There was just the right amount of everything. The book leaves the reader with a pleasant feeling. My interest was piqued within a few pages of reading. Furthermore, it helped me understand how one must make choices in life, how one small choice can change everything. The story was smooth, short, and crisp. It had no grammatical errors, and it was well-edited. Not to mention, it was incredibly engaging. There are no negative points to this story. For the above reasons, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I surely will suggest The Watchmaker's Doctor: An Erase and Rewind Novella to others. The book is a must-read, so do not pass it up. The book could appeal to an audience of any age since it did not contain any profane material or had any adult scenes. Time-travel enthusiasts will particularly enjoy reading this book. An excellent book not only for science fiction fans but also for anyone seeking a break from the everyday. You will fall in love with this book and will be captivated by it.
